GC90.7/Panama City, FL To Drop NPR Affiliation

No More NPR

GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE noncommercial News-Talk-Jazz-Blues WKGC (GC90.7 FM)/PANAMA CITY, FL will drop its NPR affiliation as of OCTOBER 1st.  The station will continue to air AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA programming.

In a message to listeners, the station noted that "with another full strength signal in the market carrying much of the same NPR programming that we are, it just doesn't make sense to continue with it."  FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY noncommercial WFSW/PANAMA CITY is also an NPR affiliate.
