SIRIUSXM RADIO is adding another comedy channel, this time based on the JUST FOR LAUGHS FESTIVAL. JUST FOR LAUGHS RADIO will draw from 30 years of the festival, held in MONTREAL every summer and now expanded to other cities like CHICAGO and TORONTO. The channel will be available starting THURSDAY (9/26) on channel 403 on newer radios and via the company's Internet app; a daily hour-long JUST FOR LAUGHS show will also be added to RAW DOG COMEDY for weeknights at 9p (ET), and RAW DOG will also periodically simulcast JFL's channel for coverage of JFL events.
“We continually refresh and expand our comedy offering for subscribers and we are excited to add the JUST FOR LAUGHS RADIO channel to our stellar lineup. The JUST FOR LAUGHS FESTIVAL’s international reach and rich archive of standup material is a valuable addition to our Comedy offering,” said Pres./Chief Content Officer SCOTT GREENSTEIN. "JUST FOR LAUGHS joins our unmatched lineup of comedy channels which includes the leading names in comedy.”
“We are thrilled to expand our audiences with this exciting new opportunity with SIRIUSXM,” said Bruce Hills, COO, JUST FOR LAUGHS. “We couldn’t be happier that audiences across NORTH AMERICA will finally get a chance to hear some incredible comedy from our vast library over the last 30 years.”
