GREATER MEDIA Classic Rock WCSX/DETROIT has not renewed the contract of veteran personality STEVE KOSTAN according to THE DETRIOT NEWS.

KOSTAN was told his contract, which expires OCTOBER 1st, would not be renewed.

KOSTAN's last show was his usual 6-10p shift last FRIDAY (SEPTEMBER 20th). He had been at WCSX for 18 years.

A statement from GREATER MEDIA about KOSTAN's departure obtained by ALL ACCESS said, "We have not renewed STEVE KOSTAN's contract at WCSX-FM in DETROIT.  We are going in a different direction. We are very grateful to STEVE for the contributions he made to the station over the years. DAVE DAHMER will be filling in until a replacement is named."
