The FCC has granted the application of COMBINED COMMUNICATIONS INC. to upgrade KTWS/BEND, OR from Class C3 to Class C1 with a power increase over the objections of ANDREW C. SHOOKS, JAMES E. SWARM, DEBORAH J. CURL, and THOMAS L. DANIELS, who voiced concerns over increased RF levels. CURL also asked whether COMBINED had reasonable assurance of the availability of the site, while SHOOKS questioned the site's coordination with tribal and historic preservation officers.
The Commission also substituted Channel 235C1 for vacant channel 249C1 at ALTAMONT, OR, and Channel 248C3 at BONANZA, OR allowing THRESHOLD COMMUNICATIONS to change channels for its noncommercial permit at BUTTE FALLS, OR and EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION to move KYSF/BONANZA to a new frequency as well.
And the Commission announced that all commercial broadcast licensees need to file their 2013 biennial Ownership Report forms within a filing window of OCTOBER 1st-DECEMBER 2nd.
