Polly Anthony Loses Her Battle With Pancreatic Cancer

As reported YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 9/29), everyone at ALL ACCESS is very saddened to report the passing of one of the most creative women in the record business, POLLY ANTHONY, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.ANTHONY had recently been involved with several TV and movie projects, but her journey in the record business took her from an assistant at CBS RECORDS here in LOS ANGELES to SVP/Promotion at EPIC, and then eventually President of SONY's 550 RECORDS and President of the EPIC RECORDS GROUP.
She moved back to LOS ANGELES in 2004 and joined JORDAN SCHUR as co-President of GEFFEN RECORDS.
Legendary songwriter DIANE WARREN wrote on her FACEBOOK PAGE: My dear friend and sister by choice, POLLY ANTHONY has passed away. I am heartbroken for her family and those of us lucky enough to know this amazing badass loyal protective and fierce woman warrior who I was lucky to have in my life all these years. There will b a hole forever in it now. I love U. RIP dear POLLY."
ALL ACCESS Pres./Publisher JOEL DENVER noted, "I am truly saddened to hear about POLLY's passing. POLLY was one of the smartest record executives ever. Her passion for the business and for creating a wonderful environment for her artists and staff to work in and grow was legendary."
