WNFZ To Switch Frequency And Call Letters

94.3 The X Moving To 95.7

SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNICATIONS Active Rock WNFZ (94.3 THE X)/KNOXVILLE is ending its LMA with JOHN PIRKLE and moving it's Active Rock format to the 95.7 frequency effective next MONDAY, OCTOBER 14th.

SOUTH CENTRAL's existing Top 40 format WQJK "POWER 95.7" will not be continued as the existing Active Rock format on 94.3 will move to 95.7.

WNFZ PD SHANE COX told ALL ACCESS, "The WNFZ call letters will remain with PIRKLE on 94.3 but we've applied for new call letters WVRX. We're excited about the move because it signals some permanancy for the Active Rock format in this market. We're thrilled that our compnay is still committed to our Rock brand. We're moving on up to 95.7."
