CUMULUS MEDIA Rocker WNNX (ROCK 100.5)/ATLANTA is not renewing the contract of ERIC VON HAESSLER of THE REGULAR GUYS morning show according to WNNX PD TROY HANSON. Also exiting the station is night personality LEWIS ALSTON.
HANSON told ALL ACCESS, "We wish ERIC well in his future endeavors. We also wish LEWIS well and will begin the process of interviewing for both replacements shortly."
VON HAESSLER had been part of the REGULAR GUYS show since its inception at KLSX/LOS ANGELES in 1995. He and fellow REGULAR GUY LARRY WACHS met at WPXY/ROCHESTER and paired first at WTIC-F/HARTFORD before taking on the show name at KLSX. Their former WKLS (96 ROCK)/ATLANTA colleague SOUTHSIDE STEVE RICKMAN and producer TIM ANDREWS became full members of the show after the move to WNNX; WACHS, RICKMAN, and ANDREWS will continue with guests handling news for now.
