Senate Commerce Committee To Vote On O'Rielly FCC Nomination Thursday

The nomination of MICHAEL O'RIELLY for the FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION will be put up for a vote by the SENATE Commerce Committee on THURSDAY (10/3).
O'RIELLY, who will succeed ROBERT MCDOWELL in the open Republican seat on the FCC if approved by the full SENATE, and FTC nominee TERRELL MCSWEENY will be voted upon at a hearing scheduled by Committee Chairman JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV). It is anticipated that after the Committee approves O'RIELLY, his nomination and that of Chairman nominee TOM WHEELER will be brought to a vote by the full SENATE.
