BOSTON RED SOX radio play-by-play announcer JOE CASTIGLIONE, TORONTO BLUE JAYS French play-by-play voice and former MONTREAL EXPOS broadcaster JACQUES DOUCET, CHICAGO WHITE SOX analyst KEN HARRELSON, the late former OAKLAND A'S radio broadcaster BILL KING, SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS radio and TV broadcaster DUANE KUIPER, TEXAS RANGERS radio play-by-play announcer ERIC NADEL, SAN DIEGO PADRES Spanish language voice EDUARDO ORTEGA, ST. LOUIS CARDINALS radio analyst MIKE SHANNON, TAMPA BAY RAYS television announcer DEWAYNE STAATS, and former ATLANTA BRAVES broadcaster PETE VAN WIEREN are the 10 finalists for the BASEBALL HALL OF FAME's FORD C. FRICK Award honoring baseball broadcasters. Three -- DOUCET, KING, and KUIPER -- led a fan vote, and the other seven were selected by a committee.
The winner will be announced on DECEMBER 11th and will be honored during the JULY 26th, 2014 awards presentation in COOPERSTOWN, NY.
