Fred Jacobs Calls Out Darryl Parks

"It's not what you say, but how you say it." That's what JACOBS MEDIA Pres. FRED JACOBS is getting at in his JACOBS MEDIA BLOG entry "Circle Jerk," referring to the much-publicized blog written by CCM+E/CINCINNATI VP/News Talk Operations and WLW-A/CINCINNATI host DARRYL PARKS (NET NEWS 10/2), in which PARKS calls the recent RAB/NAB RADIO SHOW in ORLANDO a "Circle Jerk."

PARKS' blog entry has gone missing from WLW's site, but FRED captured it here.  It's worth reading -- and is a valuable lesson in knowing that while free speech exists, it comes with a responsibility, and a price if you engage your keyboard ahead of your brain.

As FRED points out: "There's never been a time in radio where individuals have the opportunity to be a part of the problem or be a part of the solution.

"DARRYL, you are part of the problem."
