Former LINCOLN FINANCIAL Country KYGO/DENVER Dir./Promotions/APD/MD GARRET DOLL has been named PD/afternoons for APEX BROADCASTING Country WCKN (KICKIN’ 92.5)/CHARLESTON, SC

“GARRET is a great addition to KICKIN’s already very talented on-air staff and I’m confident KICKIN’ 92.5’s team will take the station to the next level,” said APEX GM DAVID ABEL. “As a company we are committed to KICKIN’ 92.5’s success and we look forward to seeing GARRET, DALE [and morning co-hosts], SUMMER, and JENA take over the Country music space here in CHARLESTON.”

The PD chair has been vacant since the departure of CHRIS O’KELLEY in MARCH (NET NEWS 3/22). Since then, programming has been overseen by KICKIN’ morning personality DALE DESMOND, who arrived at the station just days after O’KELLEY’s departure.

Before leaving in MAY (NET NEWS 5/16), DOLL spent 16 years at KYGO in a number of roles that included programming, promotions and on-air.

On his FACEBOOK page last night (10/3), DOLL posted, "I'm trading the snow for sand. Going from a mile high to sea level. WEST coast to EAST coast. CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA, here I come … There ya go! — feeling hungry.”
