WDRC Morning Host Jerry Kristafer Exits

CONNECTICUT Radio mainstay JERRY KRISTAFER is out as morning host at BUCKLEY BROADCASTING Classic Hits WDRC/HARTFORD. KRISTAFER was fired after FRIDAY's broadcast, the HARTFORD COURANT reports; a station spokesperson confirmed KRISTAFER's exit to ALL ACCESS.

KRISTAFER was in his second stint at WDRC, returning in JANUARY 2008, according to his LinkedIn page. He hosted the "Big D Morning Show" with MIKE STEVENS and KIM ZACHARY.

He had a 15-year run at WDRC from 1982-1997. During that tenure, KRISTAFER was also PD.

He bookended the WDRC gigs with almost a decade as morning man and PD at CLEAR CHANNEL News/Talk WELI/WAVZ NEW HAVEN.
