KUPL Wins OAB Award

ALPHA BROADCASTING Country KUPL (98.7 THE BULL)/PORTLAND has been awarded the 2013 OREGON ASSOCIATION OF BROADCATERS’ (OAB) "Best Public Service Project Of The Year" award for its SATURDAY, DECEMBER 22nd, 2012 concert at DUKE'S BAR & GRILL. The concert raised over $8000 in donations and benefited victims’ families of the CLACKAMAS TOWN CENTER shooting.

“I’m humbled by the outpouring of support from our community," said ALPHA BROADCASTING Dir./Programming SCOTT MAHALICK. "In tragic times, it’s comforting to know that our fellow OREGONIANS go above and beyond to come together for the greater good. For everyone that helped support this event and cause, I can’t thank you enough. My heart is filled with sadness and appreciation the same time. It’s powerful to be live and local in the community and have the ability to rally support for a cause like this.”
