Clear Channel President John Sykes Chosen For Lifetime Entertainment Award

CLEAR CHANNEL Pres./Entertainment Enterprises JOHN SYKES can mark OCTOBER 22nd on his calendar. The media mogul will receive a lifetime award from the T.J. MARTELL Foundation. The gala will include STING and BRYAN ADAMS performing, and SYKES getting his new piece of hardware from PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON, a longtime friend.
The Lifetime Music Industry Award is the T.J. MARTELL Foundation's most prestigious honor. It recognizes the person who has made profound contributions to the music and entertainment industries.
SYKES has been a music and entertainment executive for more than 30 years. Prior to joining CLEAR CHANNEL, SYKES made his mark as part of the team that founded MTV in 1981. He stayed with VIACOM for more than 20 years. In the last decade, SYKES was Chairman/CEO at INFINITY BROADCASTING.
The 38th annual T.J. MARTELL Foundation Honors Gala will be held at CIPRIANI in NEW YORK CITY.
