WICC-A Launches 'Joe McCoy's Jukebox Saturday Night'

CUMULUS MEDIA Full Service WICC-A (600)/BRIDGEPORT, CT welcomes legendary programmer and on-air talent JOE MCCOY to host "JOE McCOY's JUKEBOX SATURDAY NIGHT" beginning on SATURDAY (10/12).
JOE McCOY began his career at WADS/ANSONIA, CT before joining to WAVZ/NEW HAVEN. He later went on to have a long tenure in NEW YORK CITY working at WOR-FM which later became WXLO (99X). McCOY landed his first PD job at WWCO/WATERBURY, CT. He then returned to the NEW YORK airwaves working for WNBC and part-time at WCBS while programming WNVR-A/WATERBURY, CT; and eventually returned to WCBS where he was PD for more than 20 years and is widely credited with defining the Oldies format.
MCCOY told ALL ACCESS, "I get to pick my own music so, what could be better. It's all about having some fun and playing the music. That's why I got into the biz as a DJ.How often I do it is my call."
The move reunites JOE McCOY with WICC OM DANNY LYONS. The two radio veterans first worked together in WATERBURY, CT radio back in the 1970's.
