Thom Hartmann Launches Climate Change Film, Adds Affiliates

Syndicated talker and author THOM HARTMANN is making news on both the radio and film fronts these days.

First, the film: HARTMANN is among the people behind the new documentary "LAST HOURS," a short film that hypothesizes about the extinction of humans as the most extreme result of global warming.  HARTMANN is partnered with filmmaker LEILA CONNERS, producers GEORGE DICAPRIO, EARL KATZ, and MATHEW SCHMID, and writer/researcher SAM SACKS in the production,  available on YouTube and at the website www.lasthours.org.

"We've been talking about rising sea levels and extreme weather events," said HARTMANN.  "Now we need to talk about extinctions."

HARTMANN's syndicated show has also added a trio of noncommercial affiliates, PACIFICA Variety WBAI/NEW YORK, KBOO FOUNDATION Variety KBOO/PORTLAND, and a live clearance on the new KXRY (XRAY.FM)/PORTLAND when that station launches later this year (see separate story in TODAY's NET NEWS).
