Wes Adams Named WLAY PD/Afternoons

Wes Adams Joins as PD

Veteran programmer WES ADAMS has joined URBAN RADIO BROADCASTING and THE SHOALS RADIO GROUP Country WLAY/FLORENCE-MUSCLE SHOALS, AL as PD/afternoon personality.  He replaces the late KEVIN WHORTON, who passed away in AUGUST (NET NEWS 8/12).

“WES is a fantastic programmer and on-air personality," said BRIAN RICKMAN, SHOALS RADIO GROUP Dir./Regional Programming.  "This is a reunion of sorts, as WES and I worked together for a number of years both at the CROMWELL RADIO GROUP and at NEXT MEDIA BROADCASTING.  In fact, over the years I've attempted to recruit him at various other stops in the industry but the timing was just never right.  I'm glad this time we finally reconnected as he'll be a wonderful addition to our phenomenal staff in MUSCLE SHOALS."

Previous programming stops for ADAMS include NEXTMEDIA Rock WXQR/GREENVILLE and RADIO ONE AC WZVN/LOWELL, IN.
