A new survey shows what many probably already knew---the majority of Americans (57%) go online with their cell phones. That is an eight-point jump from last year's poll by the PEW RESEARCH CENTER's INTERNET & AMERICAN LIFE PROJECT.
According to the report, 63% of cell owners use the phone to talk, surf the Web, or both. Ninety-one percent of Americans have a cell phone.
Even more evidence that all radio stations need to implement a mobile plan is when you factor in smartphone usage. More than half of all adults (56%) own a smartphone, and a staggering 93% of those owners use that device to go online.
