CLEAR CHANNEL MEDIA + ENTERTAINMENT Top 40 WXXL (XL106.7)/ORLANDO has named BRIAN MACK PD, effective OCTOBER 28th. Previously, MACK was PD for WRVW (107.5 THE RIVER)/NASHVILLE, and before that was APD/MD or WHYI (Y100)/MIAMI. He replaces JORDAN who left at the end of last month (NET NEWS 9/30).
“BRIAN has a reputation for excellence, superior creativity and has a commitment to the highest level of performance,” CCM+E VP/Programming CHRIS KAMPMEIER said. “His career is taking off like a rocket and the team at XL106.7 is looking forward to working with this rising star!”
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work at CLEAR CHANNEL/NASHVILLE and as I leave this prestigious market for another, the experiences I have had here will shape me for continued success in ORLANDO," MACK said. “I’ve admired XL before I knew it was MICHAEL BRYAN, who gave it that ‘truly unique’ sound. I’ll be reporting to and learning from CHRIS KAMPMEIER and Market Pres. LINDA BYRD, two people who not only shaped MICHAEL’s most pivotal career moment, but who also have reputations second to none from anyone who knows them. I’m the luckiest guy in radio.”
CCM+E/NASHVILLE OM MICHAEL BRYAN told ALL ACCESS, "Since BRIAN's arrival in NASHVILLE last APRIL, he has proven over and over why he's an incredibly worthy competitor and highly intelligent programming mind. Under BRIAN's leadership, THE RIVER has seen some of the best ratings in the frequency's long and storied history. He's helped us reinvent the brand and made some really strong hires that position THE RIVER for continued ratings dominance. We'll announce our plans for THE RIVER, in the coming weeks."
