Gaines Steps Down At Townsquare/Tyler-Longview

TOWNSQUARE MEDIA/TYLER-LONGVIEW, TX OM SCOTT GAINES has stepped down for personal reasons. GAINES joined the four-station cluster, which includes Country KNUE in JULY (NET NEWS 7/25) after handling mornings for WESTWOOD ONE’s (then DIAL GLOBAL) syndicated COUNTRY GOLD format.

On his FACEBOOK page last night, GAINES posted the following: “With respect to the situation. I will only say, I have left my job as the OM at TOWNSQUARE  and I am totally okay with it … I have moved back to DENTON. I am very happy about this and I feel things happen for a reason. I need to be close to CANDICE NEWALL GAINES during this fragile time and my Dad, too; he will be having some serious surgery in the next few weeks and that job wouldn't allow me to be a part of any of that.”

GAINES has returned to WESTWOOD ONE for part-time air shifts on its Country channels, based in DALLAS.
