Nielsen Audio To Measure 'Streaming Program Loops' If Exactly As Originally Broadcast

In its presurvey bulletin for the NOVEMBER 2013 PPM survey, NIELSEN AUDIO has made one change to its methodology, defining how it will measure streams produced by stations that play a continuous look of a single program, such as a continuous repeat of the morning show.

A "Streaming Program Loop" will be measured in the PPM figures if it "replays all of the program’s content and commercials – exactly as broadcast on-air."  The numbers will be included in the primary station's audience estimates.
