CLEAR CHANNEL Country WYYD/ROANOKE, VA PD/afternoon personality KENNY SHELTON has left the station after a combined 20 years to join 3 DAUGHTERS MEDIA/LYNCHBURG as an account executive.

SHELTON and wife JUDY teamed for mornings until last MONTH (NET NEWS 9/16) when the station added PREMIERE’s syndicated “THE BOBBY BONES SHOW” as part of a re-branding of 'YYD to "NEW COUNTRY 107.9."  KENNY moved to afternoons while JUDY exited.

Former ‘YYD afternoon host LARRY DOWDY returns to that daypart; no word yet on who will succeed SHELTON as PD.
