Michael Savage Discusses Moving To Afternoons In Conference Call

MICHAEL SAVAGE held his conference call THURSDAY (10/17) to talk to PDs and GMs about moving his CUMULUS RADIO NETWORKS show to 3-6p (ET) in JANUARY, asserting that talk radio "has to be able to go in other directions" besides political talk and vowing to offer "creative talk" in his new time slot.

SAVAGE was joined by COO JOHN DICKEY, who called SAVAGE a "great storyteller" and added that he believes that talk radio will be led back from its "low points" of recent years by "more compelling content."  SAVAGE will move into afternoons in the new year, taking the slot presently occupied by PREMIERE's SEAN HANNITY on several CUMULUS stations.
