In an effort to build its brand with Hispanic America, SLACKER today launched six new stations from UNIVISION RADIO. Five of the stations will be live streams of terrestrial UNIVISION stations. The sixth station, UNIVISION AMERICA ON SLACKER, is produced exclusively for SLACKER. It will include a complete collection of Latin cultural content and feature UNIVISON on-air personalities DR. ISABEL, FERNANDO ESPUELAS and MARIA MARIN.
The new SLACKER/UNIVISION stations are: KSCA (101.9)/LOS ANGELES, KLVE (K LOVE 107.5)/LOS ANGELES, WKAQ (KQ 105) PUERTO RICO, WRTO (MIX 98.3)/MIAMI, and KOVE (RECUERDO 106.5)/HOUSTON.
“We at UNIVISION are laser-focused on offering the finest programming to Hispanic America, whether it be on our radio airwaves, on television screens, or online and mobile,” UNIVISION RADIO EVP/Content and Entertainment EVAN HARRISON said. “We have seen a shift in our audience’s listening habits, and we are evolving to be everywhere they are and on the platforms they are listening to -- online and on the go, with services like SLACKER.”
The stations are available on the SLACKER RADIO app for smartphones, tablets and on the Web at www.slacker.com.
