Keven Cohen Back With Flip Of WQXL/Columbia, SC To Talk

Former CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WVOC/COLUMBIA, SC host KEVEN COHEN is getting back on the air after leasing WQXL-A and W240AX/COLUMBIA from GLORY COMMUNICATIONS.  THE STATE reports that COHEN will flip the stations' format from Contemporary Christian to Talk as "THE POINT" on OCTOBER 28th and will host 6-9a (ET) weekdays himself.

COHEN, who was let go by WVOC last NOVEMBER 1, said that he decided to stay in COLUMBIA rather than follow up on job leads in other markets.  “A talk show host has never truly put his money where his mouth is like this,” COHEN told THE STATE. “I have a very trusting wife.”

The new station's lineup will include DIAL GLOBAL/WESTWOODONE's HERMAN CAIN, COURTSIDE's LAURA INGRAHAM, COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS' TODD SCHNITT and LARS LARSON, CUMULUS' RED EYE RADIO, and the syndicated LESLIE MARSHALL and PHIL HENDRIE shows.
