Report: Layoffs Hit Sinclair Seattle Stations

Layoffs at the former FISHER COMMUNICATIONS stations acquired by SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP in SEATTLE and PORTLAND included some radio reporters and editors at the SEATTLE radio cluster, reports TV SPY.
The layoffs included the radio staffers at News KOMO-A-F, Talk KVI-A, and Hot AC KPLZ (STAR 101.5) as well as satellite truck operators, editors, producers at ABC affiliates KOMO-TV/SEATTLE and KATU-TV/PORTLAND.
KOMO-A-F OM/Creative Services Dir. and KVI-A PD SCOTT CARTY exits, but will continue to contribute entertainment stories for KOMO-TV and other stations on a free-lance basis.
