The new touring project featuring former GUNS N' ROSES members SLASH, MATT SORUM, and DUFF MCKAGAN, plus GLENN HUGHES of BLACK COMMUNION and DEEP PURPLE fame, COREY TAYLOR from SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR, and STEVE STEVENS, who played with BILLY IDOL, will give a charity concert on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18th at AVALON HOLLYWOOD in LOS ANGELES. The one-night benefit event billed as Tokyo Celebrates The Dolphin, will be the megagroup's only North American 2013 performance.
The two-hour set will include all the greatest tracks from each its superstar bandmates' discography. Plus, JULIETTE LEWIS, LES STROUD, and GARY DOURDAN will be special guest performers.
O'BARRY said, "This is a rehearsal for the BIG one. We plan on taking Tokyo Celebrates The Dolphin to JAPAN. We'll add a few Japanese friends to our lineup and rock the socks off Tokyo. There isn't a better way to bring Westerners and Japanese people together than Rock and Roll and the world should also know about the wonderful relationship between Japanese people and dolphins in the TOKYO Islands.
Proceeds for Tokyo Celebrates The Dolphin go directly to RIC O'BARRY's DOLPHIN PROJECT, an international organization dedicated to saving dolphins from slaughter and exploitation.
"I'm thrilled to bring a bunch of superstars together for a fun night with fans," added SORUM. "The main thing is to keep creating awareness for the DOLPHIN PROJECT and everyone involved."
