Kenny Rogers To Receive 'Lifetime Achievement Award' During 'CMA Awards'

KENNY ROGERS will receive a special honor at the upcoming 47th Annual "CMA AWARDS" on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6th. He will be presented with "THE WILLIE NELSON LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD" and be honored with a musical tribute by JENNIFER NETTLES, RASCAL FLATTS and DARIUS RUCKER.
"THE WILLIE NELSON LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD" is bestowed upon an artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in Country music, as well as achieved international prominence through concert performances, humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, record sales, and public representation.
"KENNY ROGERS is a living legend and Country music trailblazer," said CMA Board of Directors Pres. ED HARDY. "He is more than deserving of this honor and what is sure to be a stellar tribute. He represents everything that this award was intended to recognize when we initiated it last YEAR with WILLIE."
Additionally, newly announced performers for the "CMA AWARDS" include trios LADY ANTEBELLUM and THE BAND PERRY. The show will air live from NASHVILLE on ABC-TV at 8p (ET) next WEDNESDAY (11/6).
