Big Machine Wins Charity Go-Kart Challenge; Wins 6 Davey Awards

BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP took first place in the inaugural DAN WHELDON PRO-AM KARTING CHALLENGE on SATURDAY (10/26) in NEW CASTLE, IN. The BMLG team included SCOTT BORCHETTA, MARK BORCHETTA, MARINO FRANCHITTI and CLIVE WHELDON who were racing in honor of their friend, DAN WHELDON.
"DAN WHELDON was a fantastic human being and a brilliant race driver. Our sponsorship of DAN's 2011 INDY 500 victory will forever be a life-highlight for me and everyone at the BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP," said SCOTT BORCHETTA. "That we were able to honor DAN alongside DAN's widow, SUSIE WHELDON, and so many of the top INDY car drivers with such an incredible event is a wonderful reminder to how many people DAN touched."
The event raised over $100,000 for the ALZHEIMER’s ASSOCIATION.
BIG MACHINE also had a winning WEEK as they racked up six DAVEY AWARDS from the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF THE VISUAL ARTS on TUESDAY (10/22).
Congratulations to BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP’s creative team which includes SANDI SPIKA BORCHETTA, JUSTIN KEY, IVAN CLOW, SETH HELLMAN, BECKY REISER, and AMY FUCCI.
The label received "Best In Show" for Integrated Campaign/Promotion Branding on TIM McGRAW’s "Highway Don’t Care," and two GOLD awards for RASCAL FLATT’s "Changed" print/packaging and TAYLOR SWIFT’s "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" lyric video film/ animation. Their three SILVER awards included THOMAS RHETT’s press kit, TAYLOR SWIFT’s "RED" package, and "A Very Special CHRISTMAS" Integrated Campaign/Cause Marketing.
