The ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC is making changes in three of its award categories effective with the “49th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS,” which are to be held in 2014 on a date to-be-announced.
The Musician-Bandleader-Instrumentalist Award will be renamed the Studio Recording Award.
The Casino of the Year category will now include two separate awards, based on small and large-sized rooms.
Venue of the Year will split into three distinct categories, based on small, medium and large capacity venues.
None of the changes will affect the network television broadcast of the ACMs, as the above awards are presented at the annual ACM HONORS ceremony, which takes place in NASHVILLE each FALL.
