WCBS And WINS Make Final Election Night Preparations

For the first time in 12 years, voters in NEW YORK CITY will choose a Mayor. The CBS RADIO All-News stations WCBS-A and WINS are ready for TUESDAY night.
But before the votes are tabulated, WINS will cover mayoral candidates BILL DE BLASIO and JOE LHOTA voting on Election morning. During the day, they'll talk to voters at polling places, and the newsroom will monitor turnout in the NEW YORK CITY, LONG ISLAND, and NEW JERSEY, where Governor CHRIS CHRISTIE seeks another term. GARY BAUMGARTEN will report live on the NEW JERSEY Gubernatorial race.
WINS begins its Election Night coverage at 7p with anchors PAUL JAMES and HOLLI HAERR. Veteran reporters JULIET PAPA and AL JONES will cover the DE BLASIO and LHOTA campaigns, respectively. MONA RIVERA will update listeners on the NASSAU COUNTY Executive race.
In addition, WINS will deploy an team of reporters for election issues led by WINS Senior Correspondent STAN BROOKS. WINS will carry all victory and concession speeches in the featured races.
As for sister station WCBS-A, BRIGITTE QUINN and ALEX SILVERMAN will head their coverage starting at 7p. RICH LAMB, covering the mayoral race, will lead the team of reporters in the field throughout the tri-state.
WCBS-A News Director TIM SCHELD told ALL ACCESS, "Just as important as who will win (and by how much), we will be spending time looking ahead to how the change will likely impact the lives and landscape of the city and its surrounding communities."
