Cumulus Texas AM Spinoff Sold By Trustee To Claro Communications

In a deal yet to appear in the FCC database, CUMULUS spinoff trust JOULE BROADCASTING, INC., headed by broker EDDIE ESSERMAN, is selling Comedy KKLF-A/RICHARDSON, TX to GERALD BENAVIDES' CLARO COMMUNICATIONS for $1.25 million. MEDIA SERVICES GROUP's BILL WHITLEY served as exclusive broker for the deal, representing the seller.
In another deal yet to show up in the FCC database, ARMADA MEDIA CORP. is selling Talk KSDN-A, Rock KSDN-F (94.1 THE ROCK), Top 40 KBFO (106.7 POINT FM), and Sports KGIM-A/-K296FW (ESPN RADIO 1420/107.1)/ABERDEEN, SD and Country KGIM-F (PHEASANT COUNTRY 103.7) and AC KNBZ (SUNNY 97.7)/REDFIELD, SD to BRIAN LUNDQUIST's PRAIRIE WINDS BROADCASTING, INC. for an undisclosed price. The cluster will retain its HUB CITY RADIO name under the new ownership. KALIL AND CO., INC. is the exclusive broker for the deal.
In filings with the FCC, BRADLEY G. MUHL is selling 49.5% (50% of voting shares) of JOMAST CORP., licensee of Country KBOE-A-F/OSKALOOSA, IA, to his son BRANDEN B. MUHL for $229,000 (10% down, the rest in a promissory note).
MANSFIELD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WSHB/WILLARD, OH because it "currently does not have the financial stability to continue operations of WSHB." The noncommercial station is in the process of being sold to OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE RADIO, INC. d/b/a ANNUNCIATION RADIO for $25,000.
And VICTOR M. VICKERS has closed on the sale of FM translator W291CI/JACKSONVILLE, FL to COX RADIO, INC. for $350,000, including $20,000 already paid for an option to buy the station. The translator's primary station is COX Urban WJGL-HD-2 (POWER 106.1)/JACKSONVILLE.
Also, the Commission deleted FM allocations in PORT LIONS, AK; DE BEQUE, CO; AND BENJAMIN, CISCO, RULE, and SHAMROCK, TX for lack of interest after being offered in two or more FM auctions each.
And in a closing not yet appearing in the FCC database, CURTIS MEDIA, INC.'s EASTERN AIRWAVES, LLC has closed on the construction permit for FM translator W228CM/GREENSBORO, NC from WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY for $125,000. BOB HEYMANN of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP served as exclusive broker representing the buyer in the deal.
