The CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING is offering "underperforming" public radio stations a grant program for "station renewal."
The Radio Station Renewal Project is a two-phase grant program offering "meaningful resources to stations with realistic potential for substantial improvement," including funds and evaluation. The grant guidelines state that all proposals are welcome but, ideally, applicants will be currently participating in the Community Service Grant program but failing or struggling to meet the FY2007 Audience Service Criteria of that program and committed to making changes. PUBLIC RADIO CAPITAL will exclusively be invlved with the first phase, for which ten stations will be selected.
More information is available by clicking here and questions on the program can be directed to DEBORAH CARR at carrd@cpb.org or (202) 879-9767. Proposals are due by AUGUST 8.
