Longtime Baltimore Broadcaster Jim English Dies

Condolences to family and friends of longtime BALTIMORE television and radio personality JIM ENGLISH, who died SUNDAY (11/3) in PIKESVILLE, MD from complications of respiratory disease at 79, according to HEARST Talk WBAL-A/BALTIMORE.

Besides working as a weatherman and staff announcer on WHP-TV/HARRISBURG and WBAL-TV, WJZ-TV, and WMPT-TV/BALTIMORE, ENGLISH worked at several radio stations in HARRISBURG and BALTIMORE, hosted radio post-game shows for HERSHEY BEARS minor league hockey, and served as GM at TOWSON STATE COLLEGE (now TOWSON UNIVERSITY) noncommercial WTMD/TOWSON, MD.
