KIRO's Dori Monson, Washington Gov. Inslee Clash... On The Basketball Court

BONNEVILLE Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE midday host DORI MONSON will take on WASHINGTON Gov. JAY INSLEE in a five-on-five charity basketball game WEDNESDAY (11/6)

"The Clash on the Court," in the works since 2004, when MONSON and INSLEE, then a Congressmen, needled each other over their basketball skills at the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION, will take place at SHORECREST HIGH SCHOOL in SHORELINE, WA, where MONSON coaches girls' basketball.  A youth match between teams coached by MONSON and INSLEE will be followed by a team from KIRO and sister Sports KIRO-A (710 ESPN SEATTLE) taking on local politicians picked by INSLEE.

MONSON said, “This may be my first and only opportunity to force a local politician to go right! This proves that, for us aging basketball players, we check our politics at the gym door. I’m thrilled Governor INSLEE and I – along with our colleagues – are able to get together to raise money for two great organizations.”
