SETON HALL UNIVERSITY basketball is moving to SALEM Talk WNYM-A (AM 970 THE ANSWER)/NEW YORK for this season in a deal brokered by rights holder NELLIGAN SPORTS MARKETING. Four games will be bumped to sister Religion WMCA-A due to scheduling conflicts. PIRATES games aired on GREATER MEDIA Oldies WMTR-A/MORRISTOWN last season after several years on CUMULUS Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK.
The school's Director of Athletics PATRICK LYONS said, "Radio coverage is a key component to expanding our brand in the metropolitan area. To have the opportunity to extend our reach through this partnership with WNYM 970 AM was important to us. Coupled with the BIG EAST's landmark television coverage with FOX SPORTS, SETON HALL basketball games will now be available to a larger audience than ever before."
SALEM NEW YORK VP/GM JERRY CROWLEY said, "We are tremendously excited about this partnership and becoming the new radio home of SETON HALL UNIVERSITY Basketball. SETON HALL and the BIG EAST CONFERENCE have a rich tradition and heritage and we look forward to broadcasting more memorable moments in the years ahead to TRI-STATE area basketball fans."
