Scott Anez Moves To Middays At WDBO

COX MEDIA GROUP News-Talk WDBO (NEWS 96.5)/ORLANDO is moving 6-7p (ET) ORLANDO'S EVENING NEWS host and sister Sports WDBO-A (ESPN 580) afternoon host SCOTT ANEZ to the hosting position on ORLANDO'S NEWS AT NOON.  Incumbent noon anchor JOE KELLEY will continue as host of ORLANDO'S MORNING NEWS and as News Dir.; ANEZ will continue to host afternoons on ESPN 580.

PD DREW ANDERSSEN said, “SCOTT literally unplugs his headphones from the ESPN studios at 5:59p and has 60 seconds to run to the NEWS 96.5 studios to begin his show at 6p.  As a listener favorite, moving SCOTT to host ORLANDO'S NEWS AT NOON will allow him more flexibility in his schedule and a greater focus on each show, ultimately providing our listeners a more consistent listening experience.”

On KELLEY, ANDERSSEN added, “For the last seven months, JOE has also been doing triple duty - hosting ORLANDO’S MORNING NEWS each weekday from 5-9a and ORLANDO’S NEWS AT NOON from noon-1p, while overseeing the whole NEWS 96.5 newsroom. This move will allow JOE to better focus on his main role as morning news host and News Dir.”

WDBO's current news staff will fill in on ORLANDO'S EVENING NEWS until a new host is named.
