Augusta Host Sues Radio Rivals For Slander

A radio war is turning into a legal war between AUGUSTA-area radio personalities, as BEASLEY Talk WGAC-A/AUGUSTA host AUSTIN RHODES has filed suit in AIKEN COUNTY Court of Common Pleas against Gospel WAAW/WILLISTON, SC hosts RYAN B. (BRIAN LAMONT DOYLE) and CHARLES "CHAMP" WALKER JR. and owner REJOICE NETWORK, INC. for making allegations on the air that RHODES is a convicted sexual predator. The slander (broadcast libel) suit seeks temporary and permanent restraining orders and unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
