FCC Gets Tough On Public File Violations

The FCC issues a flurry of Notices of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture along with license renewals for the sale stations. Among the cases:
EMERSON COLLEGE's noncommercial WERS/BOSTON, a proposed fine of $10,000. for public file violations but its renewal approved;
BAKER UNIVERSITY's noncommercial KNBU/BALDWIN CITY, KS, a proposed fine of $4,000. plus an admonishment for public file violations along with its license renewal;
JOHN REYNOLDS' FM translator W267AD/BRYSON CITY, NC, a proposed fine of $1,500. for filing a late renewal application but getting the renewal anyway;
CLEAR CHANNEL's Talk WHJJ-A/PROVIDENCE, a $10,000. proposed fine for public file violations along with a license renewal;
ROSE CITY RADIO's Sports WWZN-A (THE ZONE)/BOSTON, a proposed fine of $10,000. for public file violations but its renewal approved;
HOLY CROSS' noncommercial WCHC/WORCESTER, a proposed fine of $10,000. for public file violations but its renewal approved;
SOUTH ATLANTA BROADCASTING's Gospel WSSA-A/MORROW, GA, a proposed fine of $11,500. for public file violations and a late application filing but its renewal approved;
DAVIDSON MEDIA's Talk WXCT-A/SOUTHINGTON, CT, a proposed fine of $4,000. for public file violations but its renewal approved.
