KWPT Holds Classic Cover Contest

LOST COAST COMMUNICATIONS Classic Hits KWPT (THE POINT)/EUREKA, CA PD  held its Classic Cover Contest, where local bands send in covers of Classic Rock song. Twenty-four bands faced off three times a day in an NCAA-style bracket. Winners were determined by phone calls and FACEBOOK likes over a three-week period.

The head to head battles continued until only three bands remained. Those three then performed live before a sold-out audience at a local venue. PD CAROLE ANN MORGAL started THE POINT Classic Cover Contest three years ago to tie into the local music scene.
