BONNEVILLE News-Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE morning news anchor and reporter LINDA THOMAS is exiting the station at the end of the year.
In a blog post at the station's MYNORTHWEST.COM, THOMAS wrote that she will "begin a new career that doesn't involve being at work by 2AM. Those jobs do exist, right?"
THOMAS joined KIRO in 1988, left to work as a freelancer in print and on radio for a decade, then rejoined as morning news anchor in 2010. "My BONNEVILLE SEATTLE bosses understand and support my decision too, even though they don't want me to leave," THOMAS wrote. "That's what family members do. I'll always be grateful for them, and for you." DAVE ROSS, her co-anchor, will continue in the morning slot.
