RADIO FREE EUROPE/RADIO LIBERTY has been experiencing a DDoS cyberattack from an unknown source, the station disclosed this week.
The station said that the distributed denial of service attack began last THURSDAY, and that the disruption has also affected the VOICE OF AMERICA and other BROADCASTING BOARD OF GOVERNORS-run overseas broadcasting services. However, the attack has not taken the operations down and stations are airing programming and operating their websites, although the attack has slowed down the stations' ability to upload material to their websites.
