NPR's Joyce Slocum To Join Texas Public Radio As Pres./CEO

TEXAS PUBLIC RADIO has named NPR Chief Administrative Officer JOYCE SLOCUM as its new Pres./CEO, starting JANUARY 6th. SLOCUM has been with NPR for five years, serving as General Counsel and interim Presi./CEO. She was General Counsel at DALLAS-based children's television producer HIT ENTERTAINMENT and Supervising Attorney at 7-ELEVEN before joining NPR.
SLOCUM said, “It's a tremendous honor to be asked to lead TEXAS PUBLIC RADIO. I'm delighted to join the wonderful team in building on the momentum to make TPR a vital resource to the community and a preeminent voice regarding the news, events and culture of the region.”
TEXAS PUBLIC RADIO, based in SAN ANTONIO, operates noncommercial News-Talk KSTX and Classical KPAC/SAN ANTONIO, News-Talk-Classical KTXI/INGRAM, and News-Talk KTPR/SNYDER.
