KIBB Ties In To Plane Mishap

Congratulations to CONNOISSEUR MEDIA/WICHITA PD PAT JAMES who had Adult Hits KIBB (BOB FM 97.1) tied into a story that made national news. JAMES explains, "one of the world's largest cargo planes, a BOEING Dream Lifter, landed in WICHITA.  This is not news usually, as the Dream Lifter lands here regularly at MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE carrying fuselage for brand new BOEING jets.  What made today unique was the fact the plane landed instead at a very small airport 6 miles away -- by mistake.  A BIG mistake."

JAMES continues, "The mishap happened last night (11/20) at 9:30p, it was fodder for our radio shows all morning, as the heavy jet sat there next to one of our major interstates for all commuters to see, while they figured out how to get the plane turned around and off the ground. (The runway is considered 3000 feet too short for a plane of this size.) At our 9:30 jock meeting, we hatched the idea for a FACEBOOK post, which quickly grew to a Billboard idea. FUN radio, fast turnaround, topical and LOCAL."
