WNOR & WAFX Food Drive Sets Record for Donations

Over 577,000 Meals Will Be Served

TIDEWATER COMMUNICATIONS Rock WNOR(FM99) and Classic Rock WAFX(106.9 THE FOX)/NORFOLK, VA have set a new record of 577,678 meals which will be served thanks to donations to the 17th annual FM99 & 106.9 THE FOX MAYFLOWER MARATHON FOOD DRIVE.

The annual 'round-the-clock food drive took place between 5:30a on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22nd until 3pm on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24th in two locations. All food and monetary donations collected in VIRGINIA BEACH go to the Foodbank of Southeastern VIRGINIA. All donations made at the HAMPTON location benefit the Foodbank of the VIRGINIA Peninsula.

TIDEWATER NORFOLK Brand Manager MIKE BECK said "The Fox and FM99 thank our listeners and clients for their support for the Mayflower Marathon over the past 17 years. Their donations of food, money and time help the Foodbanks make a Thanksgiving meal possible for thousands of people here in HAMPTON ROADS.
