KEYN Raise Food, Money For Lord's Diner

ENTERCOM Classic Hits KEYN/WICHITA, KS morning show personalities DON HALL and KIM DUGGER went on the air and asked listeners to donate turkeys to THE LORD’S DINER ministry of the Catholic Diocese of WICHITA -- and the response was overwhelming.  In just one day, 106 turkeys were collected and over $4,000 in cash donations.

THE LORD’S DINER has the ability to purchase turkeys for only $10 per turkey. With the help of KEYN listener’s, THE LORD’S DINER will be able to provide 24,000 individuals meals at various locations around WICHITA.  All of the collection efforts took place on NOVEMBER 20th. Individuals that contributed cash or donated a turkey received a complimentary pizza coupon from PAPA JOHN’S PIZZA or a free bowl from GENGHIS GRILL.

“The annual turkey drive is something we as a staff have looked forward to for the last 10 years”, said JAN HABERLY, Director of THE LORD’S DINER. “Our kitchen staff, along with dedicated volunteers, are able to prepare a traditional THANKSGIVING meal at our three locations."
