Condolences to family and friends of former WSUS/FRANKLIN (SUSSEX COUNTY), NJ and WRBA/SPRINGFIELD-PANAMA CITY, FL owner PETER BARDACH, who died FRIDAY (11/29) in PANAMA CITY, FL at 84, according to the NEW JERSEY HERALD and PANAMA CITY NEWS HERALD.
BARDACH, a longtime advertising manager at FOOTE, CONE AND BELDING, formed SUSSEX COUNTY STEREO and bought WSUS (formerly WLVP) in 1971, ultimately selling it to his GM JAY EDWARDS. He then signed on WRBA in 1987, later retiring and hosting (as "PETER MICHAEL") and producing several shows as a volunteer at GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE noncommercial WKGC/PANAMA CITY from 1994 until his passing.
