HEARST-ARGYLE second quarter revenue rose 3% to $194 million, with earnings falling from 68 to 27 cents/diluted share (although 2005's numbers include 38 cents per share of one time tax benefits while 2006's figures include a penny per share of new stock-based compensation expense). The company owns two radio stations, Talk WBAL and Rock WIYY (98 ROCK)/BALTIMORE.
