KIRO, Treehouse Raise Over $489,000 To Support Foster Children

BONNEVILLE Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE and nonprofit foster care organization TREEHOUSE raised over $489,000 to help support local foster children during their 25th Annual Holiday Magic Radiothon on THURSDAY (12/5). The event ran for 12 hours and will help the 6,000 children in foster care in WASHINGTON state.
BONNEVILLE SEATTLE VP/Market Manager CARL GARDNER said, “Again this year, our KIRO community has dug deep to support foster children. TREEHOUSE does a tremendous job of strengthening foster families and helping children realize their full potential. So, it’s a joy and privilege here at KIRO to connect our generous audience with good neighbors who just need a little help.”
TREEHOUSE CEO JANIS AVERY said, “We are absolutely thrilled with the success of the 25th Holiday Magic Radiothon, and we are so grateful to the KIRO Radio team and listeners for once again helping Treehouse give 6,000 kids in foster care across WASHINGTON State a happy holidays."
