RADAR Finds 178 Million Listening To Network Radio Spots

NIELSEN just released its RADAR DECEMBER 2013 survey to demonstrate network radio’s power in reaching a mass audience in all demographics. It found that more than 178 million persons 12 and older, or approximately 68% of this demographic, heard one or more network radio commercials in an average week of the survey period.
Commercials aired on the 46 radio networks measured reached:
* 67.7% of persons aged 12+ (178,423,000 persons)
* 70.6% of persons aged 18-49 (94,683,000 persons)
* 71.3% of persons aged 25-54 (89,193,000 persons)The RADAR DECEMBER 2013 survey period also demonstrates network radio’s extensive reach in the Top 25 DMAs® – Designated Market Areas:
* 70.5% of persons aged 12+ (92,593,000 persons)
* 73.7% of persons aged 18-49 (50,599,000 persons)
* 74.5% of persons aged 25-54 (48,331,000 persons)
